《區劍雄愛心會 》是由幾位五、六十年代畢業於香港航海學校的校友和老師於1998年成立的。區劍雄老師在香港航海學校任校長達39年(1953–1992)，強調有教無 類，以愛心、關懷、德智育並重的教學原則，培育學生良好的人格品德，對家庭和社會的責任。區老師一生身體力行，為貧苦子弟和失學兒童默默耕耘，奉獻一生。 為表彰區老師這種平凡而偉大的情操， 校友們以區劍雄的名義成立愛心會，以" 弘揚愛心、助學扶貧"為創會宗旨，希望把這種愛的教育種子撒播到中國大地，在春風化雨培育下茁壯成長，在中國遍地開花。
《 區劍雄愛心會 》是一間以資助國內教育希望工程為主的非牟利慈善團體。2000年被香港政府正式批准註冊，捐款並獲得稅務豁免。
Au Kim Hung Love & Care Association (“the Association”) was founded in 1998 by a group of teaching colleagues and past students of Hong Kong Sea School. The Association, named after Mr. Au Kim Hung, was established to honor Mr. Au who has devoted 40 years as headmaster of Hong Kong Sea School. Mr. Au has demonstrated his dedication to education and has shown tremendous love and care to the less fortunate boys during his 40 years with the school.
With the belief that every child should have the right to receive education, the Association made donations to schools in mainland China to enhance education quality and to increase schooling opportunities for the less fortunate children. As a continuation of Mr. Au’s teaching, the Association hopes to extend love and care to children who suffer from poverty and illiteracy in outlying villages in China.
The Association is registered as an independent and non-profit making charitable organization in Hong Kong and has been granted charitable tax exemption status.
